The second season of I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World and Became Unrivaled in The Real World, Too is officially set to broadcast and stream starting January 2027. Alongside the announcement, a new key visual and the first promotional video have been released.
The Story Continues
The second season picks up after Yuuya takes in Ouma, the legendary Genesis Dragon, and Kuro, the incarnation of “the Vile” lurking within Yuti, and defeats the Divine Fist. As Yuuya immerses himself in training to master his newly acquired power of “the Vile,” the forces of “the Vile” are steadily gathering strength in the shadows. Meanwhile, in the Kingdom of Regahl, an Imperial Tournament is set to take place between Yuuya and the absolute strongest among the Divines—the “Divine Sword.”
New Cast and Characters
Two new characters have been announced for Season 2:
- Iris Knowblade (VA: Ikumi Hasegawa) – The strongest sword princess bearing the title “Divine Sword.” In her pursuit of swordsmanship, she missed her chance at marriage. While searching for “a man with a fate stronger than her own,” she falls in love at first sight with Yuuya at the Imperial Tournament.
- Mai Kagurazaka (VA: Sora Amamiya) – Coming from the Real World like Yuuya and Kaori, she serves as a shrine maiden and is summoned to Another World as a “Divine Maiden.” She wields the special power of exorcising “the Vile.”
Comments from Cast Members
Ikumi Hasegawa shared: “I’m thrilled to be able to dive into the world of Iseleve in the 2nd Season! The character I voice, Iris, is a strong, brave, cool girl, but… just how this girl’s relationship with Yuuya develops is something I hope you’ll look forward to!”
Sora Amamiya added: “The character I voice, Mai Kagurazaka, is a beautiful girl dressed as a shrine maiden, surrounded by an air of enigma. She’s a mysterious character; despite her aloof demeanor, she’s very caring and surprisingly gets embarrassed easily.”
New Key Visual
The new key visual features Iris Knowblade, who had only her back shown in the teaser visual released at Anime Japan 2026, alongside the heroine characters who admire Yuuya in both Another World and the Real World.
Season 2 premieres January 2027. With new characters, a dramatic tournament arc on the horizon, and the first promotional video now available, fans of the series have plenty to look forward to. Stay tuned for more updates.
