The fifth volume cover of Dinghai Fusheng Records was revealed.
Seven Seas Entertainment unveiled the cover for Vol. 5 of Dinghai Fusheng Records where it features Chen Xing lying on top of Xiang Shu, his eyes closed as he presses his forehead against Xiang Shu’s. The two seemed to have fallen on the snowy ground. 苍顾行 illustrated the beautiful cover, with VIN providing the interior artwork. moon, Elestrea, and Zryuu worked on the translation for the series.
Written by Arise Zhang, also known as Fei Tian Ye Xiang, Dinghai Fusheng Records was first published on JJWXC in 2019 and spans 138 chapters. The series has inspired an audio drama adaptation that was released in January 2020 and a manhua adaptation in July 2020. Dinghai Fusheng Records has also been adapted into a donghua called Epic of Divinity Light with 12 episodes.
The story follows the last exorcist named Chen Xing who must prevent an impending apocalypse. But he can’t do it alone and, using his heart lamp, he seeks out his Protector who is destined to fight by his side. Unfortunately, his heart lamp picks a stranger named Xiang Shu who wants no business in saving the world.
Seven Seas describes the synopsis of Vol. 5 as below:
Sent back in time three years to the day he met Xiang Shu, Chen Xing and his fellow exorcists have been given a fresh chance to thwart the Demon God. As Chen Xing journeys north to Chi Le Chuan for the second time, he hopes his experiences in the previous timeline will allow him to avert disaster for the Akele people and the Deer God Lu Ying.
However, while Chen Xing and the others have retained their memories from before the reset, however, Xiang Shu seems to be none the wiser…leaving Chen Xing the only one who remembers their feelings for one another. Will Xiang Shu’s memories return? And if they don’t, can Chen Xing count on him falling in love again?
Vol. 5 of Dinghai Fusheng Records comes out on September 1.
