Shen Yuhua is definitely not a disgrace.
Velinxi’s Daughter of a Thousand Faces is not only an Eisner nominee, the story is now a USA Today bestseller. The first volume of the comic debuted on #144 as of the September 2 listing. The comic was recently published by Inklore on August 25 and has already garnered praise for its strong female protagonist, worldbuilding, and plot.
Longtime danmei fans may recognize Velinxi’s name as the artist for The Scum Villain’s Self-Saving System, or perhaps fans know her from her fan art. Aside from Daughter of a Thousand Faces, the artist has also been working on Countdown to Countdown.
Daughter of a Thousand Faces made its digital debut on Tapas on May 30, 2023 and wrapped up Season 2 on December 19, 2025. The webcomic was nominated for “Best Webcomic” in 2024, losing to Lore Olympus.
