Daemons of the Shadow Realm will return for a second season.
Shortly after the final episode of Daemons of the Shadow Realm, the anime has announced it will have a second season. A release window was not announced, but a teaser visual and video have been released. The teaser video goes through the characters from the first season with voices overlapping and further ramping up the tension.

If the art style looks familiar, that’s because it’s by the same mangaka of Full Metal Alchemist. Daemons of the Shadow Realm began serialization on December 10, 2021 and currently has 13 volumes. As of March 2026, the manga has six million copies in circulation. In 2023, Daemons of the Shadow Realm won the Tsutaya Comic Award’s grand prize.
Bones Film adapted the series into an anime with Masahiro Ando attached to direct. Noboru Takagi oversaw the series scripts with Nobuhiro Arai designing the characters. Kenichiro Suehiro composed the music. The anime premiered on April 4 and streamed for two cours.
Crunchyroll describes the story:
In a world where certain humans command mighty supernatural duos called Daemons, it is the birthright of “the children who sunder day and night”—twins Yuru and Asa—to rule over these powerful entities.
Separated from a young age and unaware of the truth of their birth, brother and sister must fight to make their way back to each other, claim their birthright, and save the world…
The first season can be streamed on Crunchyroll. The manga is published by Square Enix.
