Anime Expo Chibi returns for its fourth year this November 7–9, 2025, transforming Ontario, California, into a lively hub for anime fans, families, and creators. Organized by the Society for the Promotion of Japanese Animation (SPJA), this year’s event promises to be the biggest and most exciting yet—expanding to three full days and adding new programming zones, food experiences, and special guests.

The iconic rock band SPYAIR, known for hit themes from BLEACH, Gintama, Haikyu!!, and Mobile Suit Gundam, will headline an exclusive outdoor concert on Saturday, November 8. Fans can also look forward to a SPYAIR panel and autograph session the following day. Their latest single, “Orange” from Haikyu!! The Dumpster Battle, has surpassed 200 million streams worldwide, setting the stage for what’s sure to be a highlight of the weekend.

Fans can immerse themselves in the Godzilla Experience, a cinematic, post-apocalyptic zone featuring themed props, vehicles, exclusive merch, and dramatic photo ops inspired by the King of the Monsters.

For night owls, the fun continues after dark with two new rave events—the “Kick-Off Party with We Touch Grass” on Friday and the “Anime Rave After Party with Senpai Squad” on Saturday.

Anime Expo Chibi 2025 will feature an expanded Exhibit Hall and Artist Alley, including the outdoor Xeno’s Trading Post and a new 18+ zone inside the Ontario Convention Center ballroom.

Food lovers can indulge in the Japanese Food Festival, featuring 19 local restaurants curated by WeeklyLALALA, alongside two cosplay-themed cafés inspired by Akihabara’s iconic maid and butler cafés.

Families are also welcome—kids 13 and under enter free with a paid adult wristband. The event will feature the Chibi Cosplay Runway, a dedicated Parent Zone, and all-ages programming that runs late into the night, including karaoke and gaming challenges.

Anime Expo Chibi continues to attract top creators and personalities. This year’s guest lineup includes:

  • Mika Akitaka, Mobile Suit Gundam mechanical designer and illustrator
  • Chiitan, the chaotic fairy otter mascot
  • SungWon Cho (ProZD), voice of Abby Saja in KPop Demon Hunter
  • Alan Lee, voice of Mystery Saja

The event’s expanded footprint now includes the Delta Hotels Ontario Airport, introducing more room for workshops, meetups, and special activations.

“Every expansion, every collaboration was designed with our attendees in mind,” said Matthew Thomas, SPJA’s VP of Operations. “Anime Expo Chibi is where new fans are born, and passionate fans shine.”
