Snow melts, winter giving way to spring.
Wit Studio has released the opening theme song video for Agents of the Four Seasons as well as the ending theme song. Orangestar performs both songs, featuring Kase, with the opening, titled “Petals.” Interestingly, the music doesn’t start right away. Instead, in “Petals,” Hinagiku’s hand is reaching down before changing to her standing on the tip of the boat, heading towards a cherry blossom tree.
But something’s wrong: the whole picture is upside down.
All the colors suddenly drain, leaving a barren, snow-topped tree with Winter, Spring, and their guards flashing by in quick succession, as if they’re still trapped in some never-ending winter. Or nightmare. The instant Hinagiku locks hands with Sakura, they break through the ice right as the music rises to the highest pitch yet, and bright colors come flooding in.
The ending theme song has a different art style compared to the opening theme song. “Hana Ikada” is at a slightly slower tempo, taking time to focus on Hinagiku and Sakura’s relationship. Sakura falls to her knees in front of Hinagiku and the Agent of Spring, hesitant, reaches out to pat her head but pauses. Suddenly, she’s pulled out of the darkness and into spring at full bloom.
She stirs from her nap, lifting her head up from where she was sleeping on Sakura’s shoulder. She reaches out… And although, she still hesitates, she quickly strokes Sakura’s hair.

Wit Studio animated and produced the series with Ken Yamamoto helming the adaptation as the director and Kazuhiro Furuhashi serving as animation advisor.
Agents of the Four Seasons is set in a world where four humans have been selected and entrusted the power to bring the four seasons by the seasonal deities. The world has been experiencing a prolonged winter for almost 10 years because spring has disappeared. But after nearly a decade, spring has returned. The series follows the stories of each of the Agents and their Guards, humans who have been tasked to protect their respective Agents.
