Webtoon Licenses BL Manhwa Here U Are — But With a Twist

Here you are, finally, Here U Are!

The popular BL manhua Here U Are, written and illustrated by DJun, is finally available to read officially in English. The webcomics platform WEBTOON has licensed the manhua but the characters, originally called Yu Yang and Li Huan, have been altered to the Korean names Hyeonu and Jaehwan, respectively, which have garnered mixed reactions by the fans.

Here U Are began serialization on Dongman Manhua in 2017 and concluded with 137 chapters and 11 special episodes in 2020. The story follows cheerful and outgoing second year college student Yu Yang who takes to welcoming newcomers to campus. Yu Yang meets first year Li Huan who seems standoffish and doesn’t like to say much. Although it seems unlikely that Yu Yang and Li Huan will ever become friends with the two boys butting heads, the two become closer and eventually become friends. However, taking their relationship to the next level proves more difficult than either of them thought when the past still overshadow them.
