Honey Lemon Soda Makes the Feels Bubble Up in Teaser Visual Announcement

Honey Lemon Soda has announced an anime adaptation of the romance series. A key visual spotlighting the main characters Uka Ishimori and Kai Miura has been revealed. The two are seated in a classroom together and Kai reaches out to touch Uka’s cheek. The atmosphere is suffused with warmth from the sunlight and the focus on the Uka and Kai make it appear as though they’re the only two people in the world.
J. C. Staff will handle the anime adaptation with Hiroshi Nishikiori directing. Akiko Waba will oversee the series composition with Aimi Tanaka designing the characters. Akira Kosemura will compose the music. UNLIMITED PRODUCE by TMS will produce and plan the anime.
Written and illustrated by Mayu Murata, Honey Lemon Soda began serialization in Ribon, the shojo manga magazine from Shueisha, in December 2015 and currently has 24 tankōbon volumes as of November 2023. The story revolves around the shy Uka Ishimori who meets a boy with hair as yellow as honey lemon soda and a personality just as bright named Kai Miura.
Honey Lemon Soda has also seen another adaptation in the form of a live-action series. The film starred Ai Yoshikawa as Uka Ishimori and Snow Man member Raul as Kai Miura. The film premiered in Japan in July 2021.
Honey Lemon Soda is licensed by Yen Press. No release window for the anime has been announced yet as of this article’s publishing.
