Rent-a-Girlfriend Author Reveals the Series’ Ending Has Been Decided

Rent-a-Girlfriend‘s author, Reiji Miyajima, has revealed they know how the series will end.

According to a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, by Anime News and Facts, the writer has decided on the final chapter. However, this isn’t the first time Miyajima has stated they know the series will end. They previously posted on Oct. 29, 2022, with the same message and accompanying image.

At the time of Miyajima’s original post, fans were uncertain whether the ending was regarding a chapter or the series. It seems Miyajima’s most recent post has cemented the opinion that they are indeed referring to the end of the series, rather than the end of a chapter or volume.

Written and illustrated by Reiji Miyajima, Rent-a-Girlfriend was originally serialized in Weekly Shōnen Magazine before going on to receive consolidation into 34 volumes. The series follows protagonist Kazuya Kinoshita, who utilizes a dating app to rent-a-girlfriend after being dumped.

Rent-a-Girlfriend‘s anime streams on Crunchyroll. Those interested in reading the manga can purchase physical copies at their local bookstore, including Barnes and Noble.
