Link Click‘s duo is going on a vacation.
Announced at Bilibili’s “Anime Made by Bilibili 2023 – 2024” conference, Link Click has dropped a PV for a “new chapter.” The PV showcases Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang at the airport with their luggage, the latter donning on a white cap with cat ears. The two stop to examine a billboard featuring a model and Cheng Xiaoshi teases that he can find a job as a model for Lu Guang. The two walk past Liu Xiao, the character introduced at the end of Season 2, who turns back to look at them.
The chapter is titled “英都,” and seems to tease the two of them travelling to England. A key visual with the two sitting together on the couch with Liu Xiao perched on the back was also released. Two polaroids of Big Ben and of London’s famous red telephone booths is scattered on the floor along with a poster of the model. There is no word yet of the release date of the chapter. It is not clear whether it will be a new season, new movie or an OVA.
Link Click premiered in April 2021, written and directed by Li Haoling and produced by LAN Studio and Haoliners Animation League. The original donghua follows Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang who have the ability to “dive” into their clients’ photos via a high-five to help relieve their clients of their regrets. Season 2 aired in July 2023 and concluded with 12 episodes.
In addition, Link Click inspired a manhua adaptation with a completely new story. The manhua released on Sept. 22. A live-action adaptation has been announced with a projected premiere date for 2024.
The first two seasons of Link Click are available to watch on Crunchyroll and Bilibili.
