Jurin Asaya, leader of trailblazing global girl group XG, is stepping into the spotlight with her highly anticipated solo debut. Her first single, “PS118” featuring Rapsody, drops November 18, marking both her first solo release and XG’s first-ever official collaboration track.
“PS118 (feat. Rapsody)” captures Jurin’s growth as an artist and her confident leap into new creative territory. Layered over hard-hitting hip-hop beats, the track explores a journey of self-discovery and resilience — a reflection of Jurin’s determination to chart her own path without compromise.

Joining her on the track is Rapsody, the Grammy-nominated North Carolina rapper celebrated for her sharp lyricism and socially conscious storytelling. Together, the two emcees bridge cultures and generations, trading bars with precision and power across a beat that honors hip-hop’s classic roots.
“I was so impressed with her lyrical dexterity and performance,” Rapsody shared. “Especially for English not being her first language—she soared! The bars were immaculate and garner respect. Jurin walked the walk of a true emcee on that record and it was a joy to share the mic with her. The fans can look forward to real raps, wordplay, and bars. No fluff, all force of the Jedi.”
Reflecting on her debut, Jurin expressed her excitement about stepping into this new era:
“For me, it’s a song about exploring and expanding my own universe. Through this project, Rapsody and I deeply resonated with each other’s journeys of exploration—it felt as if we were flying through space together, and it was pure fun! I hope listeners can feel that voyage through the words and flow of the song.”
The release comes at a pivotal moment for XG, following their history-making Coachella 2025 performance—where they were the only Japanese act to perform, closing the Sahara Stage to widespread acclaim. The group also recently announced their first full-length album, THE CORE – 核, arriving January 23, 2026, alongside their upcoming world tour “XG WORLD TOUR: THE CORE,” set to begin in February 2026.
With “PS118,” Jurin isn’t just carving out her own lane—she’s expanding the XG universe and proving once again why the group remains one of the most innovative forces in global pop and hip-hop.
