After years of letting fans bring comics to readers worldwide, WEBTOON Translate is preparing to close its doors.
The platform, which allowed users to translate and share WEBTOON content across languages, will officially end service on November 26, 2025 (PT). A pop-up on the Translate website urges users to save their translation records and work history, as they will no longer be accessible once the service is terminated.
All new user registrations were disabled on September 24, 2025 (PT). Users who click “See More Details” on the notice can access an extended End of Service FAQ, which explains how to download translation records and what will happen to existing content.
Launched to connect WEBTOON creators with a global audience, Translate built a passionate community of volunteer translators and readers. Its closure marks the end of a unique, fan-driven chapter in WEBTOON’s history, one that helped bridge cultures and expand the reach of webcomics around the world.
