Who’s in for some story-within-a-story drama?

Via Lactea, a small danmei publisher in Canada, has announced the new English license for Ru Xi. The publisher hasn’t said much about the work except to give a few hints as to what the story might entail and that it will have two volumes. A possible subtitle may be Between Reel and Real. A release date has not yet been announced nor the translators for the work.

Written by Tong Zi, Ru Xi follows actors Zhang Zhun and Chen Xin who costar in a new, quite steamy, film that’s about a therapist and patient falling in love with each other. To prepare them for the upcoming scenes, the director orders the two to live together for 15 days so that their intimate scenes won’t feel too awkward. Once the cameras start rolling, the lines between real and not real blur until it becomes impossible to decipher what’s an act and what’s not.

The story contains 62 chapters with some extras that can only be found in the published print version.

Fans will need to stay tuned to Via Lactea’s social media accounts and website in the next coming months for more news about Ru Xi.
