Seven Seas Entertainment unveiled the second, and final, cover for Twin Jades of Jiangdong. The cover, designed by LINXIZHIYI features Zhou Yu sitting down, a guqin in front of him, gazing off to the side with a slightly worried look on his face. Faint silhouettes of birds decorate the edges of the cover. idledee provides the interior artwork and moon translated the series.
Written by Arise Zhang, also known as Fei Tian Ye Xiang, Twin Jades of Jiangdong was first published on JJWXC in 2014 and only contains 40 chapters.
Fans have warned new readers that Twin Jades of Jiangdong is unlike any other danmei they have read and will rip readers’ hearts in ways that have not been torn apart before. The story follows two childhood best friends, Zhou Yu and Sun Ce, whose worlds are in a state of unrest with the land divided. Zhou Yu pledges himself to Sun Ce, to help his friend reunify the land and lead the people out of chaos, but their devotion to each other may not survive the turmoil and turbulence to come.
The final volume’s synopsis is as follows:
With Zhou Yu’s assistance, Sun Ce has amassed regions and followers in their lofty dreams to claim the known world. But through the turmoil and complexities of war, Zhou Yu and Sun Ce find their friendship slowly superseded by the roles of vassal and lord. Their shifting relationship is tested when Sun Ce marches to battle while leaving governance to Zhou Yu, and Zhou Yu is forced to make a monumental decision. Though Zhou Yu knows his friend well, his lord is an entirely different matter, and the consequences of his choice drive the men further apart.
