Tomo, the owner of Manga Lounge, an upcoming manga lounge set to open in Monterey Park, California, shared exciting news on social media after receiving a large manga donation from TOKYOPOP. In the video, Tomo appears alongside at least eight boxes packed with manga, marking a major milestone as the lounge prepares for its opening.
After unboxing the shipment, Tomo highlighted several of the titles included in the donation, such as Descendants, Kikaka Princess, Why I Adopted My Husband, Captain Laserhawk, Since I Could Die Tomorrow, and Boys Gilding the Lily Shall Die, among many others.
Manga Lounge is currently just under 5,000 of the 6,000 titles needed to officially open its doors, with hiring already well underway as anticipation continues to build within the local manga community.
