Legendary studio Toei Animation and Mercer Labs, Museum of Art and Technology, have joined forces to launch ONE PIECE x MERCER LABS, an immersive exhibition celebrating Eiichiro Oda’s world-famous anime. The experience opens October 9 and runs through November 30, 2025, at Mercer Labs in Manhattan (21 Dey Street).
More than 25 years after its television debut, ONE PIECE remains one of the most successful and beloved anime franchises in history. The series has inspired 15 feature films, multiple video games, a trading card game, and countless tie-ins across the globe. Now, fans can dive into its universe like never before.
Spanning 11 themed rooms, the exhibition reimagines the Land of Wano Arc through cutting-edge digital art and sensory design.
The Window Room sets the stage with a circular ceiling screen that brings to life the moment the Straw Hat Crew sails for Wano.
The Infinite Room surrounds visitors with mirrored walls and a massive 1.5-pitch screen displaying the Thousand Sunny drifting endlessly across the sea and sky.
The Dragon Room transforms Zoro and King’s climactic battle into a spectacle of light, using thousands of LED neurons to create a volumetric storm of energy.
The Cave Room, covered in pink hydrangeas, depicts Momonosuke in dragon form — a breathtaking fusion of nature and digital art.

“Partnering with Toei Animation on ONE PIECE was an instinctive choice—it’s a legendary brand that has ignited imaginations worldwide,” said Nasir Dean, Manager of Special Projects at Mercer Labs. “Now, we’re inviting fans to immerse themselves in its universe through a dynamic fusion of culture, technology, and sensory exploration.”

In addition to the installation, Nachum will debut a new original oil painting featuring ONE PIECE protagonist Luffy surrounded by cherry blossoms and wearing the artist’s signature gold crown — symbolizing the union between contemporary art and Oda’s storytelling legacy.
