To Rule in a Turbulent World‘s creator will be releasing their new novel in English first.
Publisher Via Lactea has announced that Gu Xue Rou, the author behind the danmei To Rule in a Turbulent World, will release their new novel, The Eternal Gate, with them. The tagline is: “His love had been built upon a foundation of lies.” The teaser image showcases a Roman arch window that opens to what looks like a turbulent ocean outside where a star glistens in the center. In the otherwise white background, the outside is dark and looks like it comes from space. It is unclear what genre The Eternal Gate is.
In tiny print letters around the border reads:
His love had been built upon a foundation of lies. Zion was his god’s most devout servant, yet his pious heart was set ablaze by a slave named Tetsu. An ardent passion flared in secret under the very eyes of the divine. However, reality ruthlessly rent this false life asunder. As the flames of war sparked to life, Tetsu showed his true allegiance and pointed his blade at the very god Zion believed in.
For those who might not know, Gu Xue Rou is a pen name for Fei Tian Ye Xiang who has written other popular danmei such as Dinghai Fusheng Records, Joyful Reunion, and Legend of Exorcism.
The publisher confirmed that they will first begin releasing the chapters in English first on Wattpad before the Chinese edition will follow. An ebook and print edition will be available at a later date.
Via Lactea has teased that the author will also be engaging with the fans as they write the story, saying, “Leave a comment, share your theories, and join the conversation as we dive into this brand new world together! Gu Xue Rou will also be joining the discussion!”
The first chapter will release between March and April.
