The artist for the manhua adaptation of The Husky and His White Cat Shizun, or 2ha, has stepped down.

According to a Weibo post from the publisher, the “recent excessive pressure of public opinion” has led to the artist of the 2ha manhua stepping down. This comes after the publisher has consulted with the artist, known by the pen name as Villa. The publisher promised “subsequent updates will avoid interruptions in style while maintaining the current quality.”

This is not the first time a manhua has been forced to switch artists due to backlash from a certain portion of fans. For 2ha, this will be the sixth time the manhua has changed artist. As detailed by @/qinzhongyue, after publishing the first three chapters on Aug. 16, 2021 with Xu An as the artist, the publisher announced Xu An would step down due to “health issues.” An artist with the pen name Y3P came on board to work on the project but, after being embroiled in controversy around payment of commissions, subsequently left the project sometime in July to early August 2022. A third artist, using the pen name TuSiMaoBing, took over but subsequently stepped down in October 2022 due to academic commitments. After a hiatus due to the studio searching for a new artist, the fifth artist, Villa, came onboard and has worked on the manhua until now.
