Rom-com fans won’t have to wait long to see The Dangers in My Heart: The Movie on the big screen. HIDIVE has announced that the highly anticipated anime film will receive a limited U.S. theatrical release on February 16 and 18, coinciding with its release in Japan—a rare treat for North American audiences.
The film will screen in 10 select U.S. cities as part of HIDIVE’s two-day theatrical engagement. Screenings on February 16 will feature the English subtitled version, while February 18 showings will present the English dub. Participating cities include Atlanta, Philadelphia, Dallas, Houston, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, New York, and Fairfax, Virginia.
Fan anticipation for the movie has been building since its special sneak peek panel, co-hosted by HIDIVE and TV Asahi, debuted at Anime Expo 2025. The Dangers in My Heart: The Movie combines a compilation of Seasons 1 and 2 with brand-new animated sequences, continuing the heartfelt and awkward love story between Kyotaro Ichikawa and Anna Yamada.
Advance ticket sales begin on January 23, and HIDIVE has also released the official English-subtitled theatrical trailer on its YouTube channel.
