Spring anime season just got a little more supernatural. HIDIVE announced that Petals of Reincarnation will premiere on the platform Thursday, April 2 at 12:30 am ET / 16:30 UTC, kicking off one of the most anticipated simulcasts of the Spring 2026 lineup.
New English-subtitled episodes will drop every Thursday thereafter, exclusively on HIDIVE.
The series centers on a mysterious object called the “Branch of Reincarnation,” which grants people the talents of their past lives—but only if they slit their own throat with it.
Protagonist Toya Senji is a teenage boy struggling with low self-esteem after growing up in the shadow of his gifted older brother. Despite placing in the top 100 on national exams, he finds no satisfaction. His world shifts when he witnesses classmate Haito Luo Buffett—a “Returner” who’s resurrected her past life’s abilities—battling a serial killer.
To mark the premiere announcement, HIDIVE dropped official English versions of both the third key visual and third promotional video. The visual teases the series’ supernatural action aesthetic, while PV #3 offers fresh footage of the Branch-fueled battles ahead.
