Spy x Family’s Anya Celebrates Hinatazaka46 Member’s Birthday

Spy x Family’s Anya is celebrating Hinatazaka46’s captain Sasaki Kumi’s birthday in style.

Tatsuya Endo, the mangaka of Spy x Family, uploaded an adorably sweet illustration of Anya. Anya leans on a wall with little hand-drawn bunnies scattered about. According to @/theblueslope, it’s based on the wallpapers of Sasaki’s parents’ house. Tucked in her arms is a stuffed rabbit. With little antennae sticking out from her hair, Anya evokes a precious appearance of a rabbit.

Hinatazaka46 was established in 2015, originally a subgroup of Sakurazaka46. The group started off with Neru Nagahama before it increased to 11 members in May 2016. Hinatazaka46 eventually became a separate group from Sakurazaka46 in 2019, with their first single “Kyun” becoming the best-selling debt single by a female artist in Japan. In total, the group had 37 members with 33 still active with the group. Sasaki is currently the captain and her birthday was on Jan. 22.

Endo has expressed his love for the girl groups by illustrating various artwork including one of Yor and Anya sobbing at the graduation concert for Sugai Yuuka of Sakurazaka46 as they did the ‘horse power’ pose that the idol is known for. Sugai is also a huge fan of Spy x Family as the singer has cosplayed as Yor before.
