Spy x Family Tops the Overall Bestseller List with Jujutsu Kaisen in Fifth
Spy x Family has come out on top against heavy-hitters in the Overall List for bestsellers.
Spy x Family and Jujutsu Kaisen have accomplished two incredible feats, showcasing the enormous popularity of manga.
According to Publisher’s Weekly, Vol. 9 of Spy x Family emerged on top of the “Overall List” during the week of March 30 to April 6, 2023. Vol. 19 of Jujutsu Kaisen came in in fifth place. Three of Colleen Hoover’s books came in second, third and fourth place. According to ComicsBeat, Spy x Family sold 31,486 copies of the ninth volume in its first week while Jujutsu Kaisen‘s Vol. 19 sold 22,955 for the week off April 3. This accomplishment is particularly notable as this list encompasses all genres and not just comics.
Other manga and webcomics made it on other various lists. Berserk‘s Deluxe Vol. 13 landed in fifth place, with 11,526 copies, on the “Hardcover Frontlist Fiction.” On the “Trade Paper Frontlist,” Spy x Family took first, Jujutsu Kaisen in fourth, while Solo Leveling’s Vol. 6 sold 14,391, landing in eighth place.
