Spy x Family Code: White Drops Thrilling First Trailer
Spy x Family Code: White has released its first trailer, promising a film filled with danger, laughter and Anya’s derp face.
Spy x Family fans better get ready for one wild Forger family vacation.
Spy x Family released the first trailer for the original animated film Spy x Family Code: White. The narrator introduces each Forger family member and their respective second lives with Loid Forger as the father and spy known as Twilight, Yor Briar as the mother and assassin known as Thorn Princess and Anya (unfortunately not introduced as Starlight Anya) the daughter and telepath and the family dog Bond who has the unique ability to see into the future. In the trailer, Loid suggests taking the family out for a vacation in anticipation of a cooking competition held at Eden Academy so Anya may try a special dessert firsthand and replicate it back at the competition. The trailer then features the Thorn Princess and Twilight in action with Anya discovering the secret to world peace after she discovers a scrumptious-looking piece of chocolate. Anya has the final word in the trailer when she appears at the end holding a kazoo-like gun, a derp grin spreading across her face as she says “Let’s go to hell, baby!”
Prior to the teaser trailer, Spy x Family unveiled two key visuals. Known for its comedic tone, Spy x Family Code: White‘s first teaser visual proved to be a shock as it showcased the Forgers all bearing serious expressions with Loid pointing his gun at some unknown threat, Yor gripping her needles and prepared for an attack while Anya and Bond stand with determined expressions in the middle of a snow storm. The second key visual returned back to its roots with the three dressed in casual clothes with Anya prominently in the middle as she leapt forward, reaching for a treasure chest.
Produced by CloverWorks and Wit Studio, Spy x Family Code: White is an original story with mangaka Tatsuya Endo credited for the original work and character designs. Endo will still be involved with the film as he will come onboard as the supervisor. Takashi Katagiri will direct the film with Ichiro Okouchi as the scriptwriter. Kazuki Shimada will design the characters with Kyoji Asano as the chief animation director. [K]NoW_NAMe will produce the music.
Spy x Family Code: White premieres in theatres in Japan on Dec. 22, 2023.
