Spy x Family Becomes Mission Impossible in Special Code White Collab

Spy x Family’s Twilight turns into Mission: Impossible’s Ethan Hunt in this not-impossible collaboration.

Nothing is impossible for the two great agents from Spy x Family and Mission Impossible and this new collaboration makes them a force to be reckoned with.

Spy x Family Code: White announced a special collaboration with the seventh film instalment of the Mission: Impossible Franchise, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One. To celebrate the announcement, a video had been released with the voice actors, Takuya Eguchi, Saori Hayami and Atsumi Tanezaki, who voice Loid, Yor and Anya respectively give a synopsis of the film. A teaser visual has also been released with the Spy x Family characters recreating the theatrical poster of Dead Reckoning Part One.

In the poster, Loid, of course, takes on the role of Ethan Hunt and sports the same slightly furrowed brow as the field agent. At his side, Yor takes the place of Grace, Ethan’s new ally. Anya looks over her shoulder to mimic Ilsa Faust. The White Willow turns into the Handler, Frank becomes Benji Dunn with Yuri as Luther Stickell. Fiona fittingly takes the role of the white-haired French assassin named Paris. In the movie, Ethan’s adversary is Gabriel, but it seems though Loid’s biggest enemy will be none other than Bond. Spy x Family has also hilarious included its own touch such as replacing Ethan on then train with Anya dashing across the top. Anya is also doing her own stunts as she falls through the sky with Bond replacing the motorcycle.

Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One opens in the U.S. on July 12 with the film opening in theatres in Japan on July 21. The film stares Tom Cruise, Hayley Atwell, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, Rebecca Ferguson, Vanessa Kirby, Esai Morales and Pom Klementieff. Mission: Impossible has already confirmed a second part will release on June 28, 2024. Directed by Christopher McQuarrie, Dead Reckoning revolves around Ethan Hunt’s new mission to stop an experimental AI called the Entity which has now grown out of control. Reviews have flooded in with many critics lauding the film.

Spy x Family, a highly popular anime adaptation of Tatsuya Endo’s equally beloved manga series, announced an original movie. The movie, titled Spy x Family Code: White thrusts the Forgers into a rather unexpected predicament. Threatened with the prospect that his current mission Operation Strix may be taken away from him, Loid Forger decides he needs to prove to his agency that he is the perfect man for the job. To do this, he takes his daughter Anya and wife Yor on a vacation so Anya may learn to recreate a special dessert for her principal as part of a cooking competition.

Mission: Impossible isn’t the only big franchise Spy x Family Code: White has collaborated with. Earlier, the movie announced a special collaboration with the Street Fighter 6 game and released a dynamic illustration with Yor going head-to-head with Chun-Li.

No details around the Mission: Impossible collaboration have been released as of this article’s writing. Spy x Family Code: White releases in Japan on Dec. 22, 2023.
