Spy x Family: Anya’s ‘Heh’ Face Immortalized as a Snowy Masterpiece
Spy x Family‘s Anya went on a little ooting to the Sapporo Snow Festival this weekend.
To reflect the massive success of Tatsuya Endo’s manga series Spy x Family, the Sapporo Snow Festival has presented three snow sculptures of Anya and Bond. The first feature a delighted Anya with a wide grin on her face. Anya can be seen hugging her beloved pet dog Bond in another sculpture with her favourite peanut treat in front of the two best friends. Finally, Anya will be absolutely ecstatic to see her iconic ‘heh’ face displayed for all of Japan to see.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it has been three years since the Sapporo Snow Festival opened its doors to the public as the festival was held in a virtual format in the previous two years. This year, they have 160 ice and snow sculpture displays ready for visitors’ viewing pleasure. Aside from Spy x Family‘s pink-haired gremlin, visitors can also see the historic building in Embley Park in Britain, the home of Florence Nightingale’s family to pay homage to the medical workers who had and continues to battle on the frontlines of the pandemic. An enormous sculpture of the Nippon Ham Fighters’ new baseball stadium, Es Con Field Hokkaido, stands at 12 meters tall at the main Odori site.
The Sapporo Snow Festival will be held at two sites from Feb. 4 to 11. Fans can then watch Spy x Family on Crunchyroll after a day of trekking out in the snow.
