Snow White with the Red Hair Manga Goes on Indefinite Hiatus

As per Manga Mogura RE, Sorata Akizuki’s fantasy romance manga Snow White with the Red Hair or Akagami no Shirayukihime, will go on a break. The manga originally began serialization in Hakusensha’s bimonthly shōjo manga magazine LaLa DX in August 2006 before moving to the monthly LaLa magazine in October 2011. The series currently has 25 tankōbon volumes as of August 2022.
Snow White with the Red Hair follows a herbalist named Shirayuki who possesses long red hair. Her red hair is so distinctive, she had always been told to hide it. When the prince of the kingdom, Prince Raj, finds out about her, he proposes that she become his concubine but instead of accepting, Shirayuki cuts her hair and leaves her home. She and Prince Raj encounter each other again when she helps save another prince, Prince Zen, and she trains to become a court herbalist. As the two grow closer, Shirayuki and Raj slowly and eventually fall in love with each other.
The manga received an anime adaptation, animated by Studio Bones, in July 2015. The first season aired for 12 episodes and an OVA. The second season premiered in January 2016 for 12 episodes.
