Seven Seas Entertainment has announced the rescue of two beloved danmei titles—Little Mushroom and Golden Terrace—bringing much-needed relief to fans who feared the stories had been lost for good.

Both titles were originally published in English by Peach Flower House (PFH), which shuttered operations in November 2024. The abrupt closure led to the books quickly selling out, leaving readers scrambling for copies and facing exorbitant reseller prices. With this latest announcement, Seven Seas not only restores access to these stories but promises brand-new translations and updated artwork for both series.

Golden Terrace Returns with a New Look

Written by Cang Wu Bin Bai, Golden Terrace follows Fu Shen, a high-ranking military commander forced into an arranged marriage with his political rival, Yan Xianhan. Despite his lingering injuries and their clashing ideals, the two must navigate palace intrigue, dangerous secrets, and perhaps even unexpected romance.

Seven Seas will release the first of two volumes in June 2026, featuring a fresh translation by kou and Suika, along with newly commissioned illustrations. The standard edition will retail for $19.99 USD / $26.99 CAD.

A Special Edition for Little Mushroom

Also slated for a 2026 release, the award-winning sci-fi novel Little Mushroom by Yi Shi Si Zhou is set in a post-apocalyptic world ravaged by radiation. The story centers on An Zhe, a sentient mushroom who inherits a human body and seeks to recover his stolen spore—now hidden in a human military base. His mission puts him face-to-face with Colonel Lu Feng, a feared enforcer who begins to take an unsettling interest in him.

Seven Seas will launch the first volume in May 2026, with translations by Yu and amixy. Readers can choose between a standard edition ($19.99 USD / $26.99 CAD) and a special edition ($29.99 USD / CAD 39.99), both of which include new illustrations. Like the original, the series will span two volumes.

With both Little Mushroom and Golden Terrace officially back in print, fans new and old can once again enjoy these landmark works of Chinese queer fiction—this time with the care and polish of Seven Seas’ dedicated danmei imprint.
