Seven Seas Licenses Qiang Jin Jiu for Official English Release
Qiang Jin Jiu has been officially licensed for an English release by Seven Seas Entertainment, titled Ballad of Sword and Wine: Qiang Jin Jiu.
Popular danmei novel Qiang Jin Jiu has been licensed.
Seven Seas Entertainment has announced its next novel in its prolific danmei line-up. The publisher has licensed Qiang Jin Jiu for an official English release. XiA, Jia, and amixy will translate the novel while St (artist for The Husky and His White Cat Shizun and Remnants of Filth: Yuwu) will illustrate the interior art and cover art. Titled Ballad of Sword and Wine: Qiang Jin Jiu, the first volume will be available in June 2024.
Written by Tang Jiuqing, Qiang Jin Jiu follows Shen Zechuan, the eighth son of the traitorous Prince of Jianxing who is dragged to the feet of Xiao Chiye, the longest son of the Prince of Libei. Xiao Chiye does his utmost best to crush Shen Zechaun but he survives, against all odds. As the two fight against the political world of the capital, they discover that they do not have to stand against each other as enemies but beside each other as allies, friends, and lovers.
The series also inspired a manhua adaptation which released on Aug. 15. There are no announcements for an official English translation as of this article’s publication. An audio drama is available on MaoerFM with two seasons.
Ballad of Sword and Wine: Qiang Jin Jiu will be available in June 2024.
