Science Saru’s Your Colors Brings Color and Music in August
Your Colors, the latest film from the director of A Silent Voice, premieres in Japan on Aug. 30.
The director for A Silent Voice has another gorgeous work up his sleeve.
Science Saru has released the PV for the upcoming anime film Kimi no Iro which translates to Your Colors. The film experienced a delay from its original fall 2023 premiere but has announced it will premiere in Japan on Aug. 30, 2024. The trailer introduces the main characters and voice actors, which includes Totsuko Higurashi, Kimi Sakunaga, Louis Kagehira, and Sister Hiyoko. Newcomers Sayu Suzukawa, Akari Takaishi, and Taisei Kido will voice Totsuko, Kimi, and Louis. Yui Aragaki who has lended her voice in Digimon: Data Squad and Ranma 1/2 will join the cast as Sister Hiyoko.
Your Colors follows Totsuko Higurashi who has the power to see people’s emotions as colors. She uses her ability to act as a mediator amongst her family and friends, assessing people’s moods and sometimes lying to maintain a pleasant atmosphere. Totsuko meets Kimi Sakunaga, a beautiful girl who exudes a beautiful array of colors and Louis Kagehira, a boy who loves music but must hide his passion from his mother, at an antique book store and the three of them start a band.
Naoko Yamada, who is best known for directing A Silent Voice, will similarly helm Your Colors as the director. Reiko Yoshida will write the script with Kensuke Ushio as the composer. Daisuke Richard will draft the original characters and Takashi Kojima will design and direct the animation. STORY inc. will plan and produce the film with Toho acting as the distributor.
Your Colors premieres in Japan on Aug. 30. International dates has not yet been announced but will likely come out later.
