Romance Series Blue Box Scores Anime Adaptation
Romance sports manga series Blue Box will receive an anime adaptation.
Fans can watch how a basketball player and badminton player fall in love when Blue Box gets animated.
Blue Box, the romantic comedy manga series, will receive an anime adaptation. The adaptation will feature Shōya Chiba as badminton player Taiki Inomata and Reina Ueda as basketball player Chinatsu Kano. Blue Box will also have a stage event at Jump Festa ’24 event on Dec. 16 where the main cast will be in attendance. Details such as the premiere window, animation studio, and staff have not yet been announced as of this article’s publishing.
Written and illustrated by Kouji Miura, Blue Box began serialization in Weekly Shōnen Jump in April 2021. The manga initially began as a one-shot in 2020 and is available to read on the platform. The story revolves around the relationship between Taiki Inomata and Chinatsu Kano. Taiki is in love with his upper classmate Chinatsu and trains everyday with her, despite being on two completely different teams — one badminton and the other basketball. Suddenly, Taiki finds himself seeing more and more of Chinatsu when she moves in with his family after her parents have to work abroad. The manga focuses on the two’s budding relationship as they work towards playing in nationals for their respective sports.
