REVIEW: Genshin Impact x Happy Lemon Collaboration

This review is for promotional Genshin Impact-themed drinks offered by Happy Lemon in the United States.

After learning about Genshin Impact’s collaboration with Happy Lemon through TikTok, I knew I’d have to make the journey to the Tustin location to check out a fully themed shop. Happy Lemon did not disappoint me. The standees of the characters were too cute, and there was also a small photo-taking area.

After my misadventures trying to enjoy the Chainsaw Man-themed drink from The Alley (they didn’t have any of the cool swag that was supposed to come with the drinks) and having to go to THREE Sunright locations to try Kafka’s drink from the Honkai Star Rail collab, I didn’t have high hopes for the Happy Lemon collaboration. However, I found myself very happily surprised. Not only was the store fully decorated but they also had both drinks and all the merch available!

Happy Lemon has two drinks available: Klee’s Tea-ppuccino with pink cream & pop rocks and Jean’s Tea-ppuccino with sky cream & oreo. I ordered the Klee’s Bes-Tea Premium Combo, which came with the tea-ppuccino, a Doodoco cup sleeve, a collaboration tumbler, in-game rewards, exclusive stickers and an exclusive collaboration bag. The cup the tea-ppuccino came is also nice quality and features Klee and Jean on either side of the cup.

This is perhaps the best collab yet in terms of preparation, availability and taste. The tea wasn’t too sweet despite having pink cream and pop rocks on it and I appreciated that the merch was not sold out and I didn’t have to go hunting for it at multiple locations.

The collaboration runs from Nov. 15 to Dec. 31 (except in Hawaii), while supplies last. Each order is limited to a maximum of three combo sets and all purchases must be made in-store. I highly encourage you to go check it out if you’re a fan of Genshin Impact.
