The danmei manhua Crushing Jade and Casting Pearls (Sui Yu Tou Zhu) has been quietly removed from Pocket Comics with no official explanation, though it remains available on INKR.

Sui-Yu-Tou-Zhu

Popular webcomic platform Pocket Comics has quietly removed the danmei manhua Sui Yu Tou Zhu—also known by its English title Crushing Jade and Casting Pearls—from its lineup. As of now, attempting to access the title through the app or website redirects readers to a message that reads: “Sales have been suspended for this content.”

No official statement or clarification has been issued by Pocket Comics regarding the takedown, leaving fans puzzled about the sudden disappearance of the beloved title.

Crushing Jade and Casting Pearls is adapted from the original novel by author Beinan, first published on Chinese literary platform JJWXC. The manhua adaptation was created by a team that includes Chief Editor Shen Se Jichui, screenwriter Chun Yang, Boyi Comics for art production, and editor Dou Hua.

The story centers on Ding Hanbai, a proud young master who begins working in a centuries-old jade-carving shop. There, he frequently torments the meek and gentle Ji Zhenzhu, a boy taken in by the family following his father’s death. As Ding Hanbai’s hardened exterior slowly begins to soften, an emotional bond begins to blossom between the two. Their evolving relationship turns from admiration into love, told with tender pacing and historical flair.

While Pocket Comics no longer hosts the manhua, Sui Yu Tou Zhu remains available on INKR, another global comics platform that continues to carry the title.

The removal raises questions about licensing, content moderation, or possible publishing disputes, though no details have yet come to light.

For now, fans of the series can only hope for clarity—or a return—of this fan-favorite danmei story.
