Painter of the Night Announces Side Story Return
Painter of the Night is coming back on May 25.
After a little more than five months, Painter of the Night will return with its first side story.
There’s no hint yet of which of “most unhinged lovey-dovey happy sexy times” creator Byeonduck has chosen to depict. In a Creator’s Note following the end of the series, Byeonduck indicated that they had several ideas in mind with some in the original setting, some in a role reversal AU, and a possible modern AU. Whatever they might be, fans will get to read them very soon on May 25 which releases simultaneously with the Korean launch date.
Baek Nakyum paints erotic paintings of men under a pseudonym and harbours a crush on his mentor Sir Inhun who disapproves of his choice career. Nakyum catches the attention of the depraved Yoon Seungho and the latter immediately accosts Nakyum as his private painter, to recreate his nightly exploits. The first season began in June 2019 and ran until May 2020. Season 2 started two months after in July until April 2021. Season 3 launched in August 2021 and concluded in April 2022. The final season began in February 2023 and wrapped up in November 2023. Painter of the Night is one of the most popular BL series on the platform.
