Oshi no Ko, My Happy Marriage, and More Get into the Spooky Spirit
Black Butler and Moriarty the Patriot also send their Halloween greetings!
It’s the Halloween season and several anime and manga series are celebrating it with new artwork.
Numerous creators are getting into the Halloween spirit by releasing some adorably scary new artwork. Some of these illustrations include My Hero Academia, Oshi no Ko, and My Happy Marriage. Take a look at what terrifying shenanigans your favourite characters are up to!
My Hero Academia, created by Kōhei Horikoshi, is throwing students into an enormous pumpkin with Iida, Todoroki, and Floppy emerging out of the jack-o-lantern’s mouth. Bakugo takes up one of the eye holes while Deku and Uraraka share the other eye hole.
Animated by Studio Bones, Season 7 of My Hero Academia has been announced. My Hero Academia is available to stream on Crunchyroll.
Oshi no Ko‘s famous twins Aqua and Ruby don on black, evoking a Victorian-esque vibe. Ruby poses scarily while Aqua dresses up as a vampire, mere inches away from taking a bite of his lollipop. The two lay on a bed of red roses.
Season 2 of Oshi no Ko, created by Aka Akasaka and Mengo Yokoyari, was announced at the conclusion of Season 1. Oshi no Ko is available to stream on HIDIVE.
Miyo and Kiyoka are thrust into the modern era for Halloween. Kiyoka dresses up as a wolf with a fur-lined coat and ripped jeans. Dressed up as a black cat, Miyo, on the other hand, beams as she holds a trick-or-treat bucket filled with candy.
A second season of My Happy Marriage, written by Akumi Agitogi and illustrated by Tsukiho Tsukioka, was announced following the conclusion of Season 1. My Happy Marriage is available to stream on Netflix.
Dressed up as the devil, Moriarty shoots a smirk at Sherlock Holmes who, inexplicably has an enormous skull atop his head. Moriarty has certainly gone the whole nine yards with his wings and devil horns nestled in his hair.
Based on the manga written by Ryōsuke Takeuchi and illustrated by Hikaru Miyoshi, Moriarty the Patriot is available to stream on Crunchyroll.
Gakuen Alice‘s Mikan and Natsume dress up for Halloween. Mikan is in an adorable yellow dress with a tall witch’s hat to match. She waves a wand, a slightly perplexed expression on her face, on Natsume who watches her without. much expression. It appears as though he had changed from black cat into a human.
Based on Tachibana Higuchi’s manga, Gakuen Alice is available to stream on Crunchyroll.
Shortly after the anime adaptation announcement, Ema Toyama has released an illustration to get into the Halloween spirit. Mito holds a basket of treats in one hand with Ruka embracing her from behind, dressed (or perhaps he’s wearing his usual clothes) as a vampire.
Vampire Dormitory airs sometime in 2024.
Black Butler‘s Ciel, Sebastian, and Undertaker pose for a Halloween picture. Sebastian is the only one who appears to have dressed up for the occasion. Undertaker holds a ball and chain in one hand. The three offer a thumbs-up and a grin.
Black Butler is available to stream on Crunchyroll with a fourth season set to premiere in 2024.
Bibliophile Princess greets fans as witches, mummies, vampires, and pirates in this adorable illustration. The characters have been rendered into chibis and will surely make fans delighted.
