The boys from One Room TA will hit the small screen this summer!
LAFTEL, the streaming platform for Korean adaptations and Korean-dubbed anime, announced that it will stream the anime adaptation of One Room TA. Creator Jibung first revealed the adaptation on their account and dropped the promotional poster and sample animation on their account. They also illustrated a thank-you message which also revealed that the anime will stream sometime in the summer.
Sneak peek GIFs of the anime adaptation have looked promising, capturing the story’s sweet storytelling and comedy.
One Room TA, written and illustrated by Jibung, was first released on Peanutoon but has moved to Bomtoom after the platform closed. Garnering over 7 million views, the webcomic has also earned “Most Entertaining Books of 2024” by the Korean Publishing Culture Association. The series has been a popular fan favorite since its release in 2022.
The synopsis is as follows:
After returning to campus as a sophomore, Uyun meets Jinhyeong, the socially-awkward-yet-stunningly-handsome T.A., and blurts out a confession on a whim. One thing leads to another…and suddenly, they’re roommates! Just as things start to heat up, Jinhyeong pulls back after a steamy kiss and says he has a very specific fantasy about physical intimacy. But just what kind of fantasy does he have? Can the two of them overcome all their wild expectations (and even wilder reality) to survive their first night together?
