Mullebooks Licenses Office BL The New Recruit

The New Recruit lands a licensing home at Mullebooks.

Mullebooks, a new publisher of Korean novels, announced the license of The New Recruit, written by Moscareto. @/endlx1 will design the English cover. The cover features Seunghyun sitting at his desk and glancing up at Kim Jongchan who has come to visit him. The book will be released as an e-book. Mullebooks has not yet announced the release date.

The New Recruit follows Woo Seunghyun who is an unemployed gay 28-year-old who decides to intern at an advertisement agency. Unfortunately (or not), he works under one of the strictest leaders Kim Jongchan, a workaholic who is a stickler for perfection. Despite his tough exterior, Seunghyun discovers his boss has a surprisingly soft side.

The New Recruit has been adapted into two other mediums. The webcomic version, featuring art by Zec, released on Manta Comics on June 4, 2021 and contains 33 episodes with a bonus episode. In its live-action adaptation, The New Recruit was renamed to The New Employee and premiered in 2022 with Kwon Hyuk playing Kim Jongchan and Moon Jiyong as Woo Seunghyun.
