Marry My Husband K-Drama Announces Cast and Premiere Date
The K-drama adaptation of Marry My Husband premieres on Jan. 1, 2024, starring Park Minyoung and Na Inwoo.
The wedding bells are a-ringing for the live-action adaptation of Marry My Husband.
As reported by Soompi, the cast for the K-drama adaptation of Marry My Husband has been solidified. Park Minyoung (City Hunter), Na Inwoo (Mr. Queen), Lee Yikyung (Children of Nobody), Song Hayoon (Fight for My Way), Lee Gikwang (Lovely Horribly), and Gong Minjung (Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha). The drama premieres on Jan. 1, 2024.
Park has signed on to play the protagonist Kang Jiwon. Jiwon suffers from a terminal illness and when she witnesses her best friend and husband having an affair, she gets killed by her husband. However, Jiwon travels back 10 years into the past and weaves an intricate plot to avenge her death.
Na will portray Yoo Jihyeok, the head of her department, who is in love with Jiwon both in her present and her past life, unbeknownst to her. He agrees to help Jiwon in her plan to exact revenge. Lee Yikyung takes on the role of Park Minhwan, the self-centred and horrid husband of Jiwon who takes advantage of his wife’s kindness at every moment.
Song plays Jiwon’s best friend Jung Soomin who betrays Jiwon. Soomin has a completely different attitude as soon as Jiwon turns her back and seems dead set on stealing everything from Jiwon for some inexplicable reason. Lee Gikwang plays the chef Baek Eunho who has a shared past with Jiwon and Soomin. Gong plays Jiwon’s coworker Yang Jooran who resolves to make a change in her life when she meets Jiwon.
Created by sungsojak, Marry My Husband follows Kang Jiwon, a 37-year-old cancer patient, who walks in on her husband and best friend in bed. Upon confronting the two, her husband kills her, sending her 10 years into the past. Armed with her knowledge of what two of her most trust people did to her, Jiwon vows to get revenge: marrying her best friend off to her scum husband.
