Lezhin is looking into producing short dramas.
Manhwa platform Lezhin has announced Lezhin Snack, a short drama platform, that will release on February 4. As reported on Chosun Biz, Lezhin Snack will have vertical short drama adaptations of existing popular Lezhin and Bomtoon manhwa. The genres will include romance, comedy, action, school dramas, BL, and GL.
Following the snack theme, the logo has little bites taken out of the “S” and “k.” The Lezhin US social media account reads: “All the fun in the world! Short dramas that get better every bite!“
Lezhin Snack will have a number of well-known directors, writers, and production companies participating, including Lee Byeong-heon (Extreme Job and Twenty) who will write and direct a short drama that will release on the platform.
Operating on a monthly basis, the platform will launch in Korea, the US, Japan, and Taiwan. Lezhin Snack will open shop on February 4.
