Kodansha has kicked off the new year by unveiling its final round of new print manga licenses set to debut in Fall 2026, bringing a diverse lineup of romance, comedy, fantasy, thriller, and all-ages titles to print for the first time in English.
Among the newly announced romance and comedy titles is Kiss or Die Trying!, a chaotic BL rom-com where a budding relationship is repeatedly interrupted by life-threatening mishaps, and Fan/Girl x Call/Boy, a heartfelt otaku romance about bonding over shared fandoms. Longtime fans will also be pleased to see Rainy Day Serenade Omnibus, one of Kodansha’s most-requested licenses, finally arriving in English in premium paperback editions.
On the comedy side, Mr. Vamp Is a Vampire offers a lighthearted take on supernatural hijinks, following a vampire who believes he’s passing as a normal high school teacher—despite everyone clearly knowing the truth.
Kodansha also announced several premium and special editions, including a Black Jack Deluxe Edition, collecting Osamu Tezuka’s iconic medical manga in oversized format, and Blue Lock Full Color Selection, which presents fan-favorite matches from the hit soccer series in fully colorized volumes.
For fans of darker stories, the Fall 2026 lineup includes AIDOL, a psychological thriller about obsessive fandom taken to terrifying extremes, and NakiNagi, a gentle fantasy series centered on a former sea witch learning human emotions through friendship and love. Younger readers can look forward to Say Hello to Mr. Wallaby!, an all-ages manga about a bushido-loving wallaby chasing his dream of becoming a teacher in Japan.
All titles will be available in print at major retailers such as Barnes & Noble, Amazon, and Books-A-Million, with digital editions launching simultaneously across Kodansha’s supported platforms. With this latest announcement, Kodansha’s Fall 2026 slate continues to showcase the publisher’s commitment to variety, accessibility, and long-requested fan favorites.
