Jigokuraku Announces Opening Theme Song Through Stunning PV
A new PV for Jigokuraku, or Hell’s Paradise in English, has revealed the opening theme song for the upcoming anime.
As unveiled on TWIN Engine’s YouTube video, a beautiful new PV sends viewers into the gorgeous landscape of Jigokuraku. The PV introduces viewers to the various characters, including Gabimaru, the strongest ninja from Iwagakure, and Yamada Asaemon, the swordsman who recruits Gabimaru. Midway through, the trailer treats fans to a snippet of the opening song “W●RK,” by Ringo Shiina and millennium parade, a pop song deceptively moderately-paced. Adding to its already-full roster, MAPPA will helm the animation for this work.
Based on Yuki Kaku’s manga series, Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku began serialization on Shōnen Jump+ in January 2018 and concluded three years later with 127 chapters, bundled into 13 volumes. The story follows Gabimaru, an elite ninja who decides to abandon his life as an assassin in favour of living peacefully in the village with his wife. His dream gets shattered when he is sentenced for execution. However, all might not be lost when he is offered a chance for his past crimes to be pardoned if he is able to find and, successfully acquire, the Elixir of Life.
Jigokuraku airs on Crunchyroll and Netflix on April 1, 2023.
