Jessi has officially dropped her newest single, “Girls Like Me,” and promoted the release on TikTok. In her November 11 post, the charismatic rapper shows off her signature confidence, dancing along to the track’s addictive hip-hop beat.
Jessi—born Jessica Ho—is an American-born rapper who built her career in South Korea. She moved to Seoul at age 15 and briefly joined the hip-hop group Uptown in 2006 before taking a hiatus and later returning as a member of Lucky J and as a soloist under YMC Entertainment until the group disbanded in 2016.
In 2019, Jessi became the first artist to sign with P Nation, where she released several hit singles, including “Nunu Nana,” before parting ways with the label in 2022. Long before her mainstream breakthrough, she was already well-known for her standout appearances on Korean variety shows such as Unpretty Rapstar—where she placed second—and her memorable guest spots on Running Man. She later hosted her own talk show, Jessi’s Showterview.
