San Lang makes his official English language manhua debut in this gorgeous Heaven Official’s Blessing reveal.
Inklore, the imprint for manhwa, manhua, and webcomics for Penguin Random House, dropped the cover for the second volume of Heaven Official’s Blessing. In contrast to Volume 1 which featured Xie Lian standing in front of a circular window on a white cover decorated with pink flowers, Volume 2 uses a black background and is wreathed by red flowers that gradually transition to the cycle of the waning moon. San Lang faces the front, a lone butterfly artfully covering his hand as he hides his eye.
The English print version will also feature an exclusive doodle and printed signature from the artist STARember and seems to be a sketch of San Lang and Xie Lian relaxing together. The first edition, similar to the release for the first volume, will have designed sprayed edges, custom endpapers, a deluxe jacket, and a custom case stamp with gold foil.
The first volume for the hit danmei manhua was released on December 2 and covered the first 14 chapters of the original webcomic published on Bilibili. Volume 2 will span Chapters 15 to 27.
Based on Mo Xiang Tong Xiu’s popular danmei series, Heaven Official’s Blessing follows an unlucky god named Xie Lian who was once a beloved prince among the mortals and god among the heavens. After being banished twice, Xie Lian has become the laughingstock of all three realms. When he ascends for an unprecedented third time, it turns the heavens upside down. With multiple palaces destroyed, Xie Lian now has to find some way to pay the damages but with no followers and therefore no power, he can’t do much except descend to the mortal realm to hunt down ghosts. There, he meets a mysterious red-robed young man who seems to know a lot about Xie Lian.
The original novel was published by Seven Seas Entertainment back in 2021 and was part of the trio of Mo Xiang Tong Xiu’s licenses announced by the publisher, kickstarting their danmei launch. A week later, it became a New York Times Bestseller, debuting at #8.
Volume 2 of Heaven Official’s Blessing hits bookshelves on July 7, 2026. The digital version of the manhua is available to read on Lezhin.
