Summer will be blisteringly hot, but thankfully this Under the Oak Tree comic cover will cool it down a little.
Inklore revealed the third volume cover of the manhwa adaptation of the webnovel Under the Oak Tree. The hardcover showcases Maxi and Riftan outside, but neither of them look cold as they gaze lovingly at each other, their hands caressing the other’s faces. The contrast of the dark blue attire and dark red cloak is striking against the snowy background. The third volume releases this summer.
Based on Suji Kim’s New York Times bestselling romantasy novel, the manhwa was adapted by Seomal and illustrated by P. The hit romantasy series first debuted as a digital title on Manta Comics where it quickly rose to becoming one of platform’s top works. Inklore is also publishing the print version of Kim’s novel.
Under the Oak Tree follows Lady Maximilian Croyso who is forced to marry Sir Riftan Calypse. Their wedding is a rushed affair and Riftan leaves right after their first night together. Three years pass and Riftan returns as a war hero and determined to bring Maxi home, much to her bewilderment. After hearing nothing for the past few years, why would he want her? Especially when she can barely get through a sentence without stuttering and when she has nothing to offer in both looks and prestige? But Maxi will soon discover that there is a whole world out there–one of possibility, warm, and love–if she has the courage to take a step.

As the first snow falls over Anatol, Maxi begins to settle into her new life as the wife of Riftan Calypse. Vol. 3 of Under the Oak Tree releases on July 21 and collects Episodes 46 to 64 of the digital webcomic.
