Hai Tang Books has welcomed the new year with a gorgeous cover reveal.
The indie danmei publisher based in the U.S. has dropped the cover for the first volume of Mist. The teaser image moves, emulating the undulating waves of the night sky lit up by an aurora. Ji Yushi and Song Qinglan face each other in a ruined land. Hai Tang has not revealed the name for the cover artist.
Written by Wei Feng Ji Xu, Mist was published on JJWXC in 2020 with 103 chapters and three extras. Hai Tang Books will publish it in three volumes and according to its progress update, it is currently translating the second volume.
Pulled from NovelUpdates, Mist follows Ji Yushi who has a condition called hyperthymesia which allows him to remember every detail of his life. And while this has had people calling him a genius, the overload of memories and traumatic nightmares have made it impossible for him to sleep. When he’s assigned to support Tianqiong’s seventh squad and meets the captain, Song Qinglan who is not only deeply homophobic but he’s also the only way Ji Yushi can fall asleep.
A pre-order date for the first volume of Mist has not yet been announced.
