Nakamura has it bad. Not only is he in the closet, he’s a closeted high schooler who has a massive crush on his classmate that he can’t even bring himself to speak a word to without spontaneously combusting.

The promo video for the anime adaptation of Go For It, Nakamura! begins with Okuta Nakamura approaching Aiki Hirose, the object of his affections, then promptly smashing his head into the floor. Poor Nakamura tries everything possible to muster up his courage to talk to his crush even though every cell in his introverted body is screaming at him to “ABORT, ABORT!” The opening theme song, “Let’s Fall in Love Instantly” will be performed by Yasuyuki Okamura and Kento Nakajima.

Written and illustrated by Syundei, Go For It, Nakamura! was initially published as a short web comic panels the creator posted online before they were approached by Opera. The 11-chapter manga ran from December 2014 to August 2016 and has received positive reception for its romcom elements and retro vibes.
