Fuyuki123 will be working on a new webtoon adaptation.
Kisai Entertainment, Indonesia’s leading webtoon production house, revealed their next novel-to-webtoon adaptation with a well-known artist tapped to work on it. Fuyuki123, best known as the artist who worked on the webcomic adaptation of The Beginning After the End for the first five seasons, will be adapting Winter Blood’s novel Betting on the Jackal. The publisher also shared a sneak peek to the character designs for Vex and Styx.
Winter Blood had always dreamed about having their own webtoon and when they received confirmation that their novel would turn into a webtoon, they said, “I’m pretty sure my brain stopped working… And when I was told the same artist from TBATE would be working on the project, I must’ve incarnated Zoro’s spirit because my soul left my body…”
Meanwhile, Fuyuki123 was immediately intrigued by Betting on the Jackal‘s premise and the fact that it included dragons which was their favorite fantasy creature. “Reading the novel and imagining dragons clashing in the sky made me feel truly excited and fully immersed in the intensity.”
The artist hoped that fans who had followed them from their previous work would also enjoy Betting on the Jackal. “I want readers to feel how both Winter and I truly love dragons, and of course, to connect with our cool and rebellious main character, Vex the Jackal.”
Kisai Entertainment provided a short synopsis in the announcement:
