Demon Slayer Debuts Thrilling Trailer for “Swordsmith Village” Arc with April Premiere Date
Season 3 of Demon Slayer will premiere on April 9, adapting the “Swordsmith Village” arc.
The third season of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, adapting the “Swordsmith Village” arc, has unveiled a new trailer with the premiere date.
Announced on the official Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Twitter account, the second promotional video gives fans a glimpse of what to expect in the upcoming “Swordsmith Village” arc. Studio ufotable, who has produced the first two seasons as well as Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train, showcases its superb animation quality in the short trailer. The first episode will premiere as a one-hour special on April 9.
With the piercing sound of a hammer striking a blade ringing in the air, every clang shooting up small sparks, alighting the night, the trailer opens up on Tanjiro embarking on his journey to the village where all the swordsmiths, responsible for creating the swords the Demon Slayers use, live. In the hopes of repairing his broken blade, he unexpectedly meets the Love Hashira and Mist Hashira there along with Genya Shinazugawa. The trailer quickly flashes through the four Upper Ranks of the Twelve Kizuki before ending with Tanjiro in battle mode, enacting Hinokami Kagura.
The third season will see Haruo Sotozaki returning as the director along with character designer and chief animation director Akira Matsushima. The main cast will return with Natsuki Hanae as Tanjiro Kamado, Akari Kitō as his younger sister Nezuko, Nobuhiko Okamoto as Genya Shinazugawa, Kana Hanazawa as Mitsuri Kanji and Kengo Kawanishi as Muichirō Tokitō. MAN WITH A MISSION and milet will sing the opening theme song “Kizuna no Kiseki.”
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is currently in the midst of a world tour where special theatrical showings have begun, starting in Japan. The special theatrical showing includes Episodes 10 and 11 of the previous season Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba “Entertainment District” arc before showing an advanced viewing of the first episode of the “Swordsmith Village” arc. Fans in North America can stream the first episode in their local theatres on March 3.
Season 3 of Demon Slayer premieres on April 9.
