The Reason Why Raeliana Ended Up at the Duke’s Mansion is coming to print!
After licensing a few manhwa series, new publisher Crossed Hearts has revealed their first Korean novel license. The Reason Why Raeliana Ended Up at the Duke’s Mansion, written by Milcha. The first volume will release in spring 2026 with the cover unveiled a few weeks later.

After debuting on KakaoPage on September 19, 2016, Why Raeliana Ended Up at the Duke’s Mansion was adapted into a manhwa a year later, on September 3, 2017, with Whale handling the illustrations. The webcomic was later released on Tappytoon and Tapas, where it has amassed more than 10 million views combined. Yen Press licensed the print version of the webtoon and will release the final volume on October 28. The novel, also serialized digitally on Tappytoon, has earned over 231,000 views to date.
Why Raeliana Ended Up at the Duke’s Mansion also inspired an anime adaptation produced by Typhoon Graphics. Junichi Yamamoto directed the series, while Mitsutaka Hirota wrote the screenplay. The first season premiered on April 10, 2023, and ran for 12 episodes. A second season has not yet been announced.
A reincarnation and isekai story, the series follows Eunha Park, a university student who is pushed off a rooftop by a mysterious figure and awakens as Raeliana McMillan, a supporting character in a novel she had been reading. In the original story, Raeliana is poisoned by her own fiancé—but this time, she refuses to accept that fate. To change her destiny, she strikes an unusual deal: posing as the fake fiancée of Duke Noah Wynknight, the novel’s male lead, for six months.
