Chainsaw Man’s Latest Teaser Shows Bomb-Ass “Reze Arc” Movie

Jump Fest 2025 dropped a new teaser trailer showcasing the key scenes in this arc including Denji’s dates with Reze and Makima, thus confusing the poor boy–and confusing him even more when he realizes that every single woman he meets tries to murder him. And it’s true because Reze is not as simple as she seems. The teaser sees the return of key characters from the first season including Aki and Angel. Two new key visuals were also released, one of Denji in his Chainsaw Man glory and the other of Reze sweetly feeding Denji food. Reina Ueda will voice Reze.
The “Reze Arc” movie will see a new director at the helm, although a familiar name for the Chainsaw Man anime. Tatsuya Yoshihara was the anime’s storyboarder and key animator but will now direct the movie. Hiroshi Seko will write the screen play with Kazutaka Sugiyama as the character designer. kensuke ushio will return to compose the music as well.
Tatsuki Fujimoto’s Chainsaw Man received an anime adaptation from Studio MAPPA in October 2022 where it ran for 12 episodes. Despite its immense popularity from the manga, the anime received mixed reception from fans with some enjoying the cinematic approach director Ryū Nakayama took while others believed the creative direction didn’t convey the tone of the manga accurately.
Chainsaw Man released on Weekly Shōnen Jump in December 2018 where its first part was serialized there until December 2020. The first arc focuses on Denji as he adapts to his new life as Chainsaw Man, a Devil who embodies the fear of chainsaws, after his devil dog Pochita sacrifices himself to save him. The manga took a break before jumping into the second arc on Shōnen Jump+ in July 2022 where it focused on a new protagonist named Asa Mitaka. The second arc focuses more on Denji’s existential crisis as he wrestles with his identity as Chainsaw Man and his desire for a normal life.
