Leave it to BTS to make February 14 feel like a scene straight out of a romance film.
On Valentine’s Day, the K-Pop septet surprised fans with “Roses From BTS,” a pair of pop-up installations in Los Angeles and Seoul, where thousands of complimentary roses were up for grabs. The gesture alone would’ve been enough to send ARMY into a meltdown—but this is BTS we’re talking about. There was, of course, a twist.
Each rose came attached with a card bearing a QR code. As fans eagerly plucked flowers from the elaborate wall display throughout the day, a hidden message slowly revealed itself at the center:
“What is your love song?”
Scanning the code directed fans to a page echoing the same question, immediately sparking speculation across social media. Was this a lyric teaser? A thematic clue? The first interactive step into the world of ARIRANG, their long-awaited fifth studio album dropping March 20.
The timing felt intentional. With the album’s title drawing from Korea’s beloved folk song “Arirang”—a centuries-old melody about longing, resilience, and hope—the question “What is your love song?” suddenly carries deeper weight. It’s an invitation to reflect, to connect, and maybe even to participate.
Fans who made it to The Grove in LA or the Seoul location between 10 AM and 10 PM described the experience as emotional and beautifully executed. Videos quickly went viral, showing ARMY walking away with roses.
For those watching from afar, the envy was real—but so was the appreciation. BTS has always excelled at turning promotional moments into shared memories, and this one felt particularly personal.
